The KANS Young Speakers’ Club was happy to interview Madhuri Mondal. Madhuri quit her career as a software engineer to pursue her passion – environmental sustainability. She currently works with Dakshin with the Community Wellbeing and Environment Programme. Her other interests include birding, documenting biodiversity and environmental education. Chaviv, Ryka and Saanvi spoke to Madhuri about various topics including her journey, what a career as an environmentalist looks like and about how we can work towards a sustainable future.
This was such an enjoyable and inspirational evening. We were treated with lovely music (as Karan, one of the interviewers pointed out, ” it was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday evening listening to lovely music by a professional musician”). Undoubtedly the participants enjoyed and if had their way would not stop with their unending questions… However, more than just the fun, a big takeaway was the inspiration to identify your passion, work hard, believe in yourself, persist and eventually excel. That’s exactly what our guest for the evening Hitesh Rikki Madan is…he is not only an exceptional musician but has left everyone who attended inspired….
